Hey everybody, guess whose celebrating with an attitude of gratitude towards the Metcalfe Community? We'll give you two hints. He's the friendliest guy in town and he knows everyone. You've been supporting his incredible business for over 20 years.

This man has and continues to supply you with everything. The best coffee, deli sandwiches, fresh produce and now with his new generator is here to serve you in any emergency - power outage, ice storm, he's there!

Yes, that's right, it's Mike Campbell from Campbell's Metcalfe Variety Store and he wants to personally thank each and every one of you on July 19th, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m.

His thank you note will be carried out in typical country style in the form of a classic outdoor community BBQ Party.

Our very own volunteer Fire Department will be there to manage the traffic.(street closure for the event)

Store employees are extremely excited about greeting you with country garb. And don't forget the Irish, and Country Step dancers with the live music and a killer pie baking and coloring contests. And by the way, for those of you who are interested in entering the competition, you can pick up your entry forms and supplies at Metcalfe Variety.

Good luck to all contestants! Remember the competition will be undoubtedly stiff and plentiful. As for the winners, they'll be publicly announced and generously rewarded with amazing prizes.

And to boot, there'll be country grub at unbelievable prices. Clowns, balloons, cotton candy, popcorn and the best part, he's charging 1980's prices for his dogs and burgers. Yes folks, it's a wonderful token of what you paid for his food when he first started out twenty years ago. And the final touch will be to demonstrate his thanks, with true appreciation. Emergency candles will be handed out alongside a public showing of the town's new emergency generator. So no more worries if the power goes out in Metcalfe.

So bring the family and come on out to support the man who wants to thank you for supporting him for two decades.
